I’m Quinton Parke-Thomas, an IT services product leader and network solutions consultant with over 15 years of experience helping organizations and service providers design, scale, and deliver network services that actually work for the people who use them.
Experience snapshot
Product Management Led end-to-end network services portfolios for regional multi-state fiber carriers and national managed service providers, turning operational expertise into scalable, repeatable offerings.
Network Architecture Directed enterprise-grade designs across thousands of access points and multi-campus SDN environments, balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Process & Enablement Built and standardized product-to-operations frameworks that improved delivery efficiency and service consistency across distributed technical teams for regional fiber service providers and national managed service providers.
Customer Success Partnered directly with enterprise, public-sector, and higher-education IT leaders to modernize network strategies, enhance end user experiences, and demonstrate measurable value.
Deliver Insights & Visibility Delivered analytics and monitoring solutions that gave clients and their network operators real-time insight into network performance, utilization, and proof-of-value metrics.
My background
I’ve architected, delivered, and led network solutions operating at enterprise and national scale — from campus Wi-Fi environments connecting millions of students across tens of thousands of access points, to SD-WAN solutions securly connecting hundreds of distributed sites, to UCaaS and telephony platforms supporting over 15,000 endpoints across the northeastern U.S.
My background spans every layer of the stack — next gen firewalls, switching, Wi-Fi routing, security, voice and video — and at every phase of the service lifecycle, from vendor selection and pilot programs, to design and automation, to monitoring and service enablement. I’ve implemented zero-trust network access strategies to simplify identity onboarding at scale, and lead development of analytics platforms that turn raw telemetry into actionable business insight.
Beyond infrastructure, I’ve lead teams building monitoring and analytics solutions for networks of all sizes, including large scale IoT deployments featuring hundreds of thousands of monitored devices, enabling organizations to visualize and validate the value of their networks and technology through measurable outcomes.
Whether it’s telephony, LAN, WAN, or IoT, I’ve helped teams transform infrastructure into dependable products — building systems that are fast, secure, scalable, and above all, reliable.
What drives me?
I started Connected Engineering to continue my passion for networking, and help organizations close the gap between how we design networks and IT systems and how people actually use them to learn, work and play.
The best systems aren’t just stable — they’re transparent, predictable, and teachable. I focus on simplifying complexity, designing for longevity, and making infrastructure something teams can trust and understand.
Networks are the unseen backbone of modern life. Every digital experience, every service, every workflow depends on them — and they deserve the same intentional design we give to the products built on top of them.
Outside of work
I'm usually building something - from home-lab virtualization clusters and self hosting services, to 3d modeling and printing. If I'm not building something, I'm out in nature hiking in the beautiful landscape of Western and Upstate New York.
I live in Buffalo, NY with my wife Noelle, and believe the best designs are the ones that make everyday life a little smoother.
